Great flat, great location, hosting could be better. Bed in one room was not put together properly and made so much noise that we could not sleep in it and ended up sleeping with the mattress on the floor. Sent an email about this and I have still not been sent a response. Kids seat was also provided but this was not correctly put together and could have been dangerous is we had not noticed. Overall though the apartment is great, in an amazing location and good value

Really enjoyed the flat's 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and excellent location to Kew Gardens and M&S, Costa, TK Max, and Boots. Easy to get to everything on the district line. Felt super safe in the neighborhood. We love Kew Gardens tube stop. Nice Gail's and restaurants nearby. Kew is our favorite neighborhood to stay at in London. Host was responsive, helpful, early check-in available. Would book again.

Loved this place and the accessibility to numerous dog walking trails. The flat itself is clean and beautiful. Parking is dedicated and about 50 yards away. Everything is on one ground floor level. Recommend walking down the dog trail to The Queens Arms pub for good food. They also have a big private car park if you’d rather drive.

The apartment was clean and in a great location, which made our stay in London convenient and enjoyable. Communication with the host was smooth, and we appreciated the check-in process. That said, there were a few things that could be improved: • No fan was provided, which made the apartment quite warm at times. • There were only a few coffee sticks available — a few more would have been appreciated. • Soap was missing in some bathrooms. • One of the shower heads had very low water pressure, which made it hard to use. With a few small improvements, this place could offer a much better experience. Overall, a decent stay with room for enhancement.

Nice place in gated community. Very quiet. But not completely private. The bedroom window looks out to a public car park, which is not part of the gates community. Also there were some strange issues in the property. One of the blinds fell down and had to be fixed - it took a few days, and so there was less privacy during that wait. Also the extractor fan in the kitchen area didn’t work, meaning the fire alarm ABOVE the hob kept going off. Stay was fine overall however. You’ll need a car to go anywhere, fyi.

It’s lovely house however few essentials was missing as basic cleaning products , mop to clean the floor , how as tenants we supposed to keep the house clean? Also few kitchen essentials are missing as garlic crashed, chopping board , potatoes peeler. The back garden and front of the house was dirty also the tumble dryer was not working

It's a really nice place and a great location. I was confused by the lock on the front door as you have to push the handle up to lock it, which is something I hadn't seen before and the instructions didn't mention it. I messaged them and took some time for them to respond, but got it sorted it. Overall a 5 star stay.

Had a wonderful stay at their Craven Rd property in Kingston. Great location, close to the train station and shops. the house was clean, well organised and had everything we needed upon arrival.. The house in Knaphill was lovely. Good location and convenient. Bathroom tub can be good if updated. Noticed some water leaks on the living room ceiling . The smarter rent team was very helpful. Would love if the house has a dishwasher .

What an incredible 5 month stay at a furnished 2 bedroom, 2 bath flat in Richmond! After talking with Adrian,we booked it sight unseen and it was exactly as described in the posting. A couple weeks in, we had a plumbing issue that was resolved in a timely manner and otherwise have had no problems. Communications with Smarter Rent are excellent. The location is perfect, the accommodations are very comfortable and the private gardens are beautiful. Hope to return someday! ❤️1

Bottom line, it is about them not you. Stayed in a Kew 2-bed garden flat for 4 months during a home renovation. Positives: when searching and booking, the process was simple and the sales team communicated well online. Booked without irl viewing as is the norm for them; the actual place matched the photos. The property was well situated and well furnished. Price is on the high end but is as expected for a short let with utilities included. The frustrating: all come through during the stay. Ultimately my experience of their support team during the stay is that they treated me as if everything I raised was an inconvenience to them. A non-exhaustive list of these - - Within the first few days of my stay, I first raised the issue that the patio door gets ‘stuck’ when opening / closing. After some back and forth in emails, I was asked to send photos and a video via WhatsApp on the 4th so that they can “troubleshoot”. Nothing back until the 27th when I followed up and finally maintenance was booked. (The guy came and sorted it out simply and was very professional.) - During the first month, I got a call one afternoon while I was out from a support person asking “if / why have I changed the safe lock keyboard combination… the gardener cannot get in…” Which was all very confusing as no-one had informed me that a gardener was coming, much less gotten my permission to enter. Eventually it transpired that while the tenancy contract was clear and I knew that garden maintenance was by Smarter Rent; the contract did not have a bit “...as it should but it was missed (by them as they drew up the contract)” about the gardener coming regularly at certain dates and should be allowed access. So basically to me, they were at risk of being in breach by trying to enter without my permission, infringing on my privacy at the most basic element of a rental. No apology was forthcoming until I complained. - Towards the end of my stay, I needed to extend by 2 weeks which was sorted and paid in full in advance. Then my moving back dates changed and I was able to move back home earlier. I emailed to ask if I can check-out early and get back the money for the days not used. Their policy was strict that they cannot but they offered a % reduction if they can let the property out for those days. By the time I moved out on that earlier date, I never heard back whether those days were let, so assumed not. As I had paid for all those extended dates, the day after I moved out, I went back to tidy up and to give space to the workmen on my property finishing off stuff. While I was there I got a call asking why I was on the property as a cleaner wanted to get in but noticed that someone was inside before coming in. I was confused as no-one informed me that the cleaner was coming and effectively Smarter Rent was “forcing” me out early. Their explanation is that they needed to clean the property to let it out, even though this was not agreed with me. All in all, there are other more minor interactions where each time, I was left feeling as if my reasonable requests as a tenant were something of an irritation. Despite their positioning themselves as a different type of company to others. Which is why I would not recommend anyone else to use them unless there is no other choice. And if they do use them, to be really eyes wide open on their support levels. ❤️1

It's the second time I've used Smarter Rent. Sadly this time was not as straightforward and positive as the first stay. There were problems with leaks, sewage smell and bad managing thereof. Although the response time is fairly quick and I was told the leak causing dripping was fixed, I spent the first week of my stay with dripping into my bed and being told again and agin it was sorted. Ultimately I had to climb into the loft myself to find what was causing the issue! I requested to speak to a manager (several times) and for some form of compensation as I lost a week's worth of sleep. This did not happen. As a result of this experience I would be very reluctant to use this company again or recommend to others unfortunately.

We stayed here recently while our place was getting some work done and also just needed a bit of a reset away from the usual routine — and honestly, it was perfect. From the start, the team was amazing: super responsive, flexible, and just genuinely helpful with anything we needed. It felt like they really cared about making the whole process smooth for us. The place itself was spotless — seriously clean, well put together, and you could tell a lot of thought went into the setup. The furniture was modern and comfy, everything was in great shape, and the linens? So fresh and perfectly pressed, it felt like a boutique hotel. Even the appliances were all new and worked like a charm, which made settling in easy. When we needed to extend our stay, the team made it totally stress-free. No back and forth, just sorted.
