We rented a lovely 4 bedroom home with Smarter Rent in Ash, Surrey. It was very clean, homely and the location was perfect for the time we needed it. Smarter Rent have been fantastic in letting my mother in law a property. Firstly they have a better stock of high end properties. Their communications were so prompt and professional, and with every call or email there was an immediate reply. Von and her colleague were understanding and worked so hard to secure the property for us. All paperwork was completed seamlessly. The property was handed over with very clear instructions and in a fantastic condition (even flowers on the table!). So many nice touches which made their service stand out. Once again thank you so all of your support. I cannot recommend your services highly enough. 5* ❤️1

We stayed at a house manage by Smarter Rent and we had a great time. The house was very comfortable and it had access to transportation. Lovely property in an excellent location. Exactly as described and as per the published photographs. Well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We made this little house our own, as soon as we arrived. We travel with our own small lights to add coziness to any abode, and this was needed as the overhead lights are too much for me. But on entering, it was beautifully warm, which was welcoming on a minus 5 degrees day!! It’s a spacious feeling place, and it was clean and tidy, with plenty of utensils in the kitchen, for us to cook with. There is a shop across the road to buy coffee, milk etc… as nothing is supplied here. But as we were staying for a couple of weeks we needed supplies anyway, so it was nice to have a shop so close! The bedding and towels etc are gorgeous and we had very good nights of sleep. It felt so homely. There are a few small niggles, like the bin lid doesn’t open, and the second bedroom is tiny, with a dodgy duvet, the hoover didn’t work, and lack of cleaning materials, but overall, it was superb, so the niggles were superseded by the rest of it. I’d highly recommend for homeliness.

Was exactly as listed. In a great location. The cleaners hadn’t been when we arrived so it was still messy with old sheets/towels etc which was a shame. There’s a few bits of upkeep needed - some mould in the bathroom, the dimmer switch in the main room didn’t work so the lights kept flickering and the hot water in the bathroom was low pressure so couldn’t have a bath. But the host did respond to these concerns and they’ve mostly been fixed now

Clean apartment with enough space for at least two people. Great views of sunrise out of both sets of the windows, with towels, cutlery, and others essentials provided for. Only thing I would improve on is providing toiletries and having two complete set of keys as they provides flexibility for guests. Good communication with the hosts.

Our stay was a mix of highs and lows. The property is lovely with classic, "higgledy-piggledy" English charm and an excellent location near the village. The kitchen is well-appointed, towels plush, and beds super comfortable. However, we faced a major issue. In early Jan (-3°C outside), the heat didn't work for the first two nights, leaving the house at 58°F. Traveling with a 9-month-old, this was incredibly stressful. The host was professional, responsive, and provided a crib, but the fix was too slow. We had to sequester our family into one bedroom with a space heater just to sleep. I flagged the issue 3 hours after arrival. The house should have been pre-heated, especially knowing an infant was coming. I suspect it was a timer setting issue. I recommend this home for its charm, but if booking in winter, absolutely ensure the host verifies the heating is functional before you arrive.

Location, location, location, this place has it in spades. We loved our time in Foster Cottage, right smack in the middle of a lovely market town. The house is efficient, warm and easy to keep tidy. We stayed for almost 2 months, did Christmas, New Years, pub crawls and lots of shopping in the lively charity shops in town. We would rent again.

Alex was responsive and helpful. The place was as described. If you don't mind being 30 minutes or more from the city, via train, it's a great spot. There are restaurants and shopping if you prefer to stay local and the people were friendly. Only recommendation is a step by step guide for using the thermostat. It took a few clicks to figure out how to increase the temperature. Also, there are heated floors in the space with the television is!

Good communication & instructions. The place was clean and had all you need, although a little tired in places. The bedrooms are very small with no furniture in the smaller room. Overall it’s a good place to chill and recharge after exploring the local area - very close to Windsor, Legoland, Ascot and more. One parking space down a private lane, but little room to manoeuvre, very large cars might struggle.

Unfortunately we can’t recommend the place until certain things get taken care of: - the downstairs bathroom always smelled of drainage after a few hours of no use - the freezer was completely full of ice and not usable - the beds in the bedrooms were in a way where no plug socket was usable so no devices could be charged in the rooms - we were there over Christmas and spent a good 5-6 hours in the house every day (apart from sleep), with that long of a stay in the lounge, all seating furniture felt very uncomfortable - the oven had no trays available, only one grid - we wanted to use the multifunctional microwave, and also wanted to clean the place more with the vacuum however there were no manuals and both devices were very complicated - all bins were full when we arrived so we had nowhere to put our rubbish - the temperature dial on the shower was increasingly volatile and hard to use - most taps and the shower had are full of limescale Good location though and responsive host

Experience was a mix of good + bad. The house & location are lovely - nestled in a great area of Richmond, outside of London. The furnishings and spaces are simple, nice. Easy walk to the tube, nearby shops, restaurants/pubs. We flagged countless issues upon arrival. The home is advertised as accommodating 6 guests. We rented for 5 adults studying abroad for 4 months - a place to call home. There were inadequate supplies. Were promised luggage storage in advance which changed, became complicated. We reached out to management numerous times for support with appliances, damaged floors, water heaters, clogged drains, broken thermostats, poorly equipped kitchen... Far too many hosts + management team, resulting in slow response times, inconsistent messages & poor support. To get everyone settled & acclimated, we incurred the cost of items missing and needed for a comfortable stay. Hosts were frugal, despite the high $10K monthly rent. We left new furniture, kitchen gadgets & more.

My stay in London, particularly in Windsor, was absolutely perfect. It was such a special experience getting to meet my girlfriend for a week after she had been travelling, which made the trip even more memorable. The accommodation was very spacious, exceptionally clean and tidy, and felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. It had a great kitchen, a welcoming living room, and a lovely bedroom, all set in a fantastic location that made getting around easy. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would highly recommend it.

Stayed here for two weeks over Christmas. We found it very quiet, comfortable, warm, well located about 5 minutes walk from the town centre. Wokingham is a nice market town with attractive old buildings, although the one-way system gets very busy with traffic. There are some nice restaurants and cafes, and many pubs. The host gave good instructions and responded very quickly to queries. We would stay again.

This is a great little one bedroom flat located in the heart of Eton. Literally about a 10 minute walk across the bridge into Windsor & Windsor Castle. Very nice area, felt very safe staying here and the property is very secure. We had all the amenities we needed, washer/dryer came in especially handy as we were there for quite a while. Cooked a few times in the apartment too, plenty of tools and full size fridge/freezer, oven, microwave etc. We would definitely consider staying here again next time we are in Windsor. We found the apartment very warm and only felt the need to switch the heating on a couple of times for a short duration to take the chill off. It would have been nice to have a second set of towels considering the duration of our stay but we worked around it and it wouldn’t stop us booking again.
