A good place for an emergency long stay. Hosting company extremely responsive and helpful. Only problem was the bathroom which needs to be entirely re-done (damp and black mold). A dehumidifier was very promptly delivered to the property which helped and the company has said the bathroom is being re done soon. Mentioning it in case future renters have asthma or some such problem. Otherwise a very nice central place, dog friendly and walkable to the station and 15 minutes from town. Also a carpark space which was great. Thank you for having us!

This was a beautiful location to spend a weekend, unfortunately we were disappointed with the accommodation facilities. Both bathrooms were in need of some TLC. We were notified the day before we were due to arrive that the main shower in the shower room was out of action and couldn’t be fixed until the day we left. We were given an allowance but the situation was very disappointing. The shower I the en-suite bathroom was more like a shower head for rinsing your hair. There was no wall fixing or shower curtain. This was totally inadequate for 5 adults and 1 teenager. There were no cushions for the outside furniture as shown in the photos. Outside decking area and spiral staircase were poorly maintained. That said the rest of the house was good with everything you require for your stay. The bed linen and towels were of good quality.

I spent a wonderful week here, running along the nearby River Thames to Kingston in the peaceful environment every morning. The house is spacious, and there is ample parking space. Also provided detailed preparation materials.

The property is in a beautiful setting and perfect for our family holiday. The kitchen was well equipped (we especially enjoyed the wine fridge!) and all the bedrooms were very comfortable with plenty of towels. The only reason for a 4* review is that we reported that the shower was faulty on our first morning and it wasn’t fixed for the duration of our trip. The spa passes were also missing from the property and did not arrive while we were there either. The team was in constant communication with us about it though and we were offered a partial refund for the shower issue which we were happy with. Overall we had a great holiday and would definitely return to the Lower Mill Estate.

The house is very well located, only 20 minutes walking distance from the city centre, and close to all amenities. It’s a lovely and quiet street. Check in was super easy. The house is just like the photos and is well equipped with lots of storage, tea, coffee, dishwasher and washing machine tablets, which was much appreciated. The only thing we were very disappointed about, was the strong “wet dog” smell downstairs, and the fact that there were dogs (and human) hair everywhere. It got on our clothes, and even in our drinks and food, which wasn’t particularly enjoyable… Also note that the blinds in the master bedroom are not very efficient, and in the Spring/Summer you get a lot of light directly in your eyes from an early time. We sent feedback to the landlord suggesting that she adds blackout curtains just like in the other bedroom. All that said, we had a lovely stay overall, and the team managing the house was very responsive and accommodating.

Really nice little flat hidden under a house. Host team was very quick to respond and very attentive. This was helpful especially when the host had forgotten to give us a parking permit - this was rectified in time luckily. The underfloor heating was set to max when we arrived which meant we were very warm for a while but once it cooled down it was lovely. Very clean and tidy place. Toilet was really high, my legs couldn't touch the floor but I'm only 165cm. Accessibility warning - you can only enter the property via stairs. Would stay here again given the opportunity.

The team at Smarter Rent have been absolutely brilliant. We needed a short-term let on short notice as we had a massive house fire. It was difficult finding a suitable property in Maidenhead that welcomed dogs, but as soon as I contacted Smarter Rent, they were incredibly helpful. They had a property that hadn't yet come on the market and they did all they could to get it ready for us ASAP so we didn't have to stay with friends for too long. The property itself has modern furnishings, is tastefully decorated and has everything we need. The cleaning team do a fantastic job and have been flexible with schedules. Special shout out to Yusuf, our contact in the main office, who's always quick to respond to any niggles and always happy to help if we need anything. 🙏2

We recently rented a property through Smarter Rent. The company provided an excellent service, flexibility, and guidance throughout the process. Moving to a new accommodation can be a stressful experience (particularly when you want to rent short term and if you have a pet), but Smarter Rent was very communicative and helpful. The house we are renting is fully furnished, equipped, clean, and tidy. Truly home to home feel/experience. Little details such as welcome goodies were lovely and thoughtful. I would like to mention Abbie Cave (Lettings Negotiator) in particular. Abbie was incredibly helpful, understanding and kind from the very beginning of the process. When we moved in, she really went out of her way to make sure that we got what we needed, whether it was a light bulb, Wi-Fi connection or any additional support needed. She even came over and brought some equipment. Abbie is making sure that we feel comfortable in our accommodation. She always conducts herself in a very professional and friendly manner. She is very approachable and reliable; we really appreciate all her input. We would highly recommend Smarter Rent 😊 🙏3

My daughter and I had a lovely time in your well equipped townhouse at Brushfield Way. Very conveniently located --walking distance to both large and smaller grocery stores and right near wonderful parks and the Basingstoke canal path to walk the dog. I moved into my temporary accommodation with smarter rent following a flood at my house. I was grateful to have found somewhere to be, especially as I have pets. The property had just been bought and turned around so it was clean, freshly painted and equipped with brand new (cheap)stuff. The internet was working and so was the heating so I was relieved! The explanatory mail was easy to follow and in the two months here, I had no big issue. However, for the extortionate rental price, the property does not have a dishwasher, you are cooking on a gas cooker with a gas oven (in 2023!) with no extractor fan in the kitchen. The shower has zero pressure (it is a gravity system) and it is actually impossible to have a decent shower and rinse yourself off properly. I ended up washing my hair in the kitchen sink. The bathroom sink has two separate taps so again, very unpractical (you either are freezing or you burn yourself) I will not be the only customer to have an issue with this… The garden has a synthetic lawn…for easy maintenance, I understand. All in all, I would have left this place if there was anywhere else available because the bathroom was a big issue for me. I communicated the issues I had to Smarter rent who sent a plumber to my house without my authorisation on a day I was not around. Needless to say I was furious and found them very unprofessional.
